Sharks Swim Past Women’s Lacrosse 20-4

PAXTON, MA. – The Anna Maria Women's lacrosse team (1-12; 0-10) hosted the Sharks of Simmons College (13-2; 11-0) at the Caparso Field in Paxton, MA for a GNAC Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 20-4.

The AMCATS dropped seven in the first quarter not finding the back of the net until thirteen minutes in when Riley Michaud fed Riley cote for the AMCATS first goal of the evening.

A goal from Makayla Gleba got things started in the second quarter before dropping two more goals to the Sharks. Cote closed out the first half with her second goal of the night tying the quarter. Despite breaking even in the second the AMCATS still trailed by six at the end of the first half.

A scoreless third quarter set the AMCATS back, putting them down 17-3 before Michaud broke the silence with an unassisted goal just under five minutes into the final quarter. Michauds goal would end the scoring for the AMCATS and they would close out the game behind the Sharks 20-4.
