Peterson Selected for NEILA All-Star Game

Paxton, Mass. – Anna Maria College men’s lacrosse senior Brad Peterson (North Kingstown, RI) has been selected to play in the 2012 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) East/West All-Star Game. The game is slated to take place at Harvard Stadium on Friday, June 1st.

Men's Lacrosse in GNAC Semi-Final

Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College men's lacrosse team will travel today to Mount Ida College to take on the Mustangs in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Semi-Final round. Anna Maria, seeded #3 in the tournament, advanced to the semi-finals with a 16-9 win over Becker College on Wednesday night. The Mustangs, seeded #2, make their way into to match-up via a 10-3 win over Emmanuel College. Opening face-off is slated for 4:00pm.

Men's Lacrosse Seeded #3 in GNAC Tournament

Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College men’s lacrosse team has earned the 3rd seed in the upcoming Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced by the conference on Saturday night. The AMCATS posted a 6-3 league record in just the first season in the GNAC. Anna Maria will host Route 56 rival Becker College (4-5 GNAC) in the quarterfinals on Wednesday, April 25th starting at 7:00 pm.
Saulnier Named ECAC Offensive Player of the Week

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its Division II-III (regional) men's lacrosse weekly awards for the period April 16-22, which ended Sunday. Anna Maria senior Mike Saulnier (Wrentham, Mass.) has been selected as the ECAC Division III New England Region Offensive Player of the Week.

Paxton, Mass. – Anna Maria freshman Joshua Smith scored 4 goals and dished out 4 assists to lead the AMCATS to a 16-9 Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) Quarterfinal win over visiting Becker College in men’s lacrosse action. With the win Anna Maria improves to 10-7 and advances to the GNAC Semifinals vs. Mt. Ida College on Friday. Becker ends their season at 4-12.

Paxton, Mass. – Anna Maria College defeated Emerson College by a score of 19-4 on senior day at AMCAT Field on Saturday afternoon. With the win the AMCATS improve to 9-7 (6-3 GNAC) and will be seeded third in the upcoming Great Northeast Athletic Conference playoffs. Emerson College finished their season at 1-9 (1-8 GNAC).

Lacrosse Comes From Behind For GNAC Win

BOSTON, Mass. – The Emmanuel College Men’s Lacrosse Team suffered a tough 9-7 loss to Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) opponent Anna Maria College on Saturday afternoon at Roberto Clemente Field. The AMCATS overcame a two-goal deficit at halftime to come from behind and take the win, improving to 7-6 on the season and 4-3 in the league. The Saints drop to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in GNAC games with the conference loss.

With the win Anna Maria improves to the .500 mark in both conference and overall record (6-6, 3-3 GNAC) while Rivier drops to 4-6, 1-4 GNAC).
