Drosidis and Denison Earn All-Conference Honors

PAXTON, MA - On Tuesday, May 14th the Great Northeast Athletic Conference announced its Baseball All-Conference award winners for the spring 2024 season. Kosta Drosidis earned Second Team All-Conference Honors while freshman Andrew Denison walked away with All Rookie Team honors. The AMCATS also had Maeson Robinson named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

Kosta Drosidis finished his final season with the AMCATS, leading the team with 37 RBIs, 6 Homers, 53 Hits and tying first in the team for Runs. Kosta was a six year member of the Anna Maria baseball team, playing in 198 career games with an impressive .366 career batting average, as well as breaking the school record for career hits with 266. Kosta currently ranks first in seven career stat categories (Career Hits, Runs, Doubles, Home Runs, RBIs, Total Bases and Extra Base Hits). In conference play this season, Kosta boasted a .429 batting average in 16 games played while also putting up impressive fielding numbers all season. His efforts this year solidified him a spot on the Second Team All-Conference.

Freshman Andrew Denison emerged as a shining figure for the AMCATS this spring after posting a team high batting average of .363 while also leading the AMCATS lineup with 17 stolen bases throughout the season. Denison also emerged in third on the roster for Hits this season with 37. Putting him just one hit behind veteran player Jarrod Marifiote. Denison also managed to lead the AMCATS in triples with two. The freshman performance this season undoubtedly earned him a spot on the GNAC's All-Rookie Team.
