Gautieri Earns GNAC All-Conference Accolades

WINTHROP, Mass.—Senior Jessica Gautieri (North Attleboro, Mass.) of the Anna Maria College tennis team has earned Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference Second Team honors in singles, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

As the AMCATS' top player, Gautieri posted a 4-5 record on the season at first singles. She opened non-conference play with back-to-back victories against MCLA and Curry. She also recorded victories in GNAC play against Albertus Magnus and against Jessica Schroiedl of Simmons College, who earned GNAC All-Conference First Team singles honors this season.

Gautieri wraps up a decorated career with a 15-16 record over her four years. This honor marks the second GNAC postseason accolade of her career, as she and teammate Nicole Goudreau '15 earned GNAC All-Conference Second Team honors at doubles in 2013.

Also earning GNAC accolades is senior Laura Cabral (Fall River, Mass.), who was named to the league's All-Sportsmanship team.

Aidiana Sagyndykova of Suffolk was named the GNAC Player of the Year. Nina Cohen of Johnson & Wales was named Rookie of the Year, while her coach Devin Kitterick earned Coach of the Year honors. Mount Ida earned the Institutional Sportsmanship Award.
