Malcolm Neville Named Tennis Head Coach

PAXTON, Mass.—Anna Maria College Director of Athletics Laura Habacker has announced the hiring of Malcolm Neville as the head coach of the women's tennis team. He takes over for Adam Williamson '12, who accepted a coaching position at Assumption College earlier this year.  

"Malcolm brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to Anna Maria," said Habacker. "Our women's tennis team will be in great hands with him at the helm."

Said Neville, "I am excited and grateful to be the next tennis coach at Anna Maria College. I look forward to sharing my passion and enthusiasm for the sport with this talented group of student-athletes."

A 2015 graduate of the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth, Neville was a four-year member of the Corsairs' men's tennis team and a two-time second team all-conference honoree. In 2014 he was a Little East Conference doubles second team honoree, and in 2012 he earned the honor in singles play with the North Atlantic Conference.

As a senior, Neville finished 10-3 in singles play, including a 6-2 record in the No. 6 slot and a 10-game winning streak, the longest of any player on the team. He paired with teammate Andrew Burdick for an 8-7 record in doubles play.

Neville also served as team captain and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) representative in his senior season.

Following graduation, Neville began working as an AmeriCorps fellow at Tenacity in Boston, where he manages at team of middle school students, providing both life skills development and tennis and fitness instruction. He has also been a private tennis instructor in Foxboro, Mass. since 2009.

Neville earned his Bachelor of Arts in Leadership Management at UMass Dartmouth in 2015. He currently resides in Foxboro, Mass.
