NASHUA, NH. – On Tuesday, November 7th the Anna Maria women's hockey team traveled to Nashua, NH to take on the Rivier University Raiders for an ECHA matchup. The AMCATS tied the game 1-1.
Just over half way through the first period, the Raiders opened up the scoring with a goal from Brianna Parent with assists coming from Rebecca McKelvey and Ellie Grady. The Raiders outshot the AMCATS 12-8 in the first period with Sam Dahill holding Rivier at one goal as the period came to a close.
The second period would be quiet for scoring however both teams would battle back and forth with each other throughout the second. Still trailing 1-0 as the third period started up, the AMCATS finally broke the ice with a goal from Samantha Rodriguez off a pass from Tessa Henry and Shayla McDonald. The AMCATS goal came halfway through the third period. Neither team would manage to take a lead before the end of the third resulting in a five minute overtime period. After OT, neither team would come out on top and the AMCATS would settle for a 1-1 draw against the Raiders.
