Women’s Ice Hockey Drop Close One to Roos

MARLBORO, MA: The Anna Maria College women's hosted the SUNY Canton Kangaroos on Friday evening for a non-conference matchup at the New England Sports Center.

HIGHLIGHTS

• On a five-on-three advantage, senior defenseman Hannah Tobey (Falmouth, MA) scored her first goal of the season in the third period to cut the Roos lead in half with just under seven minutes remaining.
• The AMCATS continued to keep the pressure on the visitors and held an 8-2 edge in shots after they cut the lead in half, however the Roos netminder, Sirena Alvarez was able to keep her slate clean the remainder of the way.
• Senior goaltender Sam Dahill (Littleton, MA) finished the game with 37 saves on 39 shots in the tough-luck loss.
