PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Soccer team was defeated by the Buccaneers of Mass Maritime this evening 7-1 in non-conference action in Buzzards Bay.
Mass Maritime (5-10-1) had five players contribute goals in today's match, of which two had multi goal games. Andrew Wayrynen and Benjamin Paine both tallied two goals in the contest along with each getting one assist apiece.
Anna Maria's (2-14-1) lone goal was from Cristian Peguri (Litchfield, NH) off of a pass from Tanaka Mararike (Paxton, Mass.). AMCAT goalie John Goncalves (Edgartown, Mass.) made his second start in goal bosting a fifteen save day in net.
The Bucs will be back on the field this Friday for their season finale against Worcester State.
The AMCATS will be back this Wednesday as they will be celebrating their senior day and season finale against Eastern Connecticut State at 5:00 PM.
