AMCATS charge to victory against Colby-Sawyer

NEW LONDON, NH. – On Wednesday, October 11th the Anna Maria College Men's Soccer team visited the Colby-Sawyer Chargers for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS won the game 1-0.

The game began with each team trading a couple of fouls and corner kicks in the first twelve minutes. The AMCATS then scored the only tally of the game on a shot by Rubelsi Moran which was assisted by Mark Cavallero. From there, the teams would finish the half in a deadlock.

After the break, the teams would continue to trade fouls and corner kicks, but the AMCATS stout defense and goaltending would prove enough to hold on to the 1-0 scoreline through the final whistle.

  • Rubelsi Moran would lead the AMCATS in shots with three and scored the only goal on the day.
