Men's Soccer Stumbles in Second Half to Give up Four to Saints

PAXTON, Mass: The AMCAT Men's Soccer team fell to the Saints of Emmanuel this evening in conference action 4-1 in Boston Massachusetts.

 

The Saints (4-4-1, 3-1-1 GNAC) scored all of their goals in the second half, after falling to a 1-0 deficit to the AMCATS in the first. Emmanuel's run started in the 49th minute when Nick Fierro break the shutout and tied the game up 1-1. Fierro was awarded the assists on the Saints second and last goal of the game as well. The second goal was scored in the 52nd minute by Kyle King. Followed by a score in the 64th minute from Robert Danielian who was assisted by Kyle Monaghan. The fourth and final goal scored was off the foot of Morgan Mercier in the 76th minute of the contest.

 

Anna Maria (2-7, 0-4 GNAC) was led by Nick Lawrence (Attleboro, Mass.) who tallied the only score on the night for the AMCATS. Lawrence was assisted by Sebastian Sosa (Providence, R.I.) in the 26th minute of the first half.

 

Emmanuel will return to the pitch this Saturday, September 29th as they head to Bristol, R.I. to take on Roger Williams University in non-conference action at 12:00 PM.

 

The AMCATS will be back on the field for homecoming this Saturday the 29th as they host Lasell College at 4:00 PM in another GNAC battle.
