Bradanese, Delorey Named to GNAC All-Conference Teams
WINTHROP, Mass.—Senior Patrick Bradanese (Billerica, Mass.) of the Anna Maria College men's basketball team has been named to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference First Team, while classmate Tyler Delorey (Worcester, Mass.) was named a Third Team selection. The announcement was released by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Bradanese is a repeat honoree, as he was named to the league's second team as a junior. Bradanese was the all-around leader of the AMCAT squad this season, dishing out a GNAC-best 5.7 assists per game while also scoring a team-leading 19.9 points per game and adding 6.3 rebounds per outing. His 19.9 points per game ranks him fourth in the league in 2015-16.
Joining Bradanese on the first team was GNAC Player of the Year Quarry Greenaway and teammate Tom Garrick of Johnson & Wales, Armin Omanovic of Lasell, and GNAC Rookie of the Year Shontaey Lovell of Albertus Magnus.
The third-team nod marks the first all-conference recognition for Delorey in his four-year career at Anna Maria. Delorey flourished in his final season at Anna Maria, averaging a career-best 14.3 points per game to rank second on the team in scoring. A strong three-point catch-and-shoot scorer, Delorey hit a season-best five three-pointers in Anna Maria's 73-62 win against Saint Joseph's College on December 5th.
Both Delorey and Bradanese joined the growing list of 1,000-point scorers at Anna Maria this season. On February 3rd Delorey became the 22nd player in history to reach the milestone and 10 days later, Bradanese added his name to the list on the road at Emmanuel.
Also earning recognition this season was junior Jesse Maresca (Sterling, Mass.), who was named to the GNAC All-Sportsmanship team.
The AMCATS finished conference play with a 10-8 record and claimed the fourth-seed in the GNAC tournament. The team hosted No. 5 Emmanuel and suffered 91-89 loss to conclude GNAC tournament action.
