Men’s Basketball Seeded #6 in GNAC Tournament

The Anna Maria College men's basketball team has earned the sixth seed in the upcoming 2014 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship as announced by the conference office on Monday morning. The AMCATS will travel to #3 Johnson & Wales University on Tuesday evening for a 7:00 p.m. match-up at the Wildcat Center.

JWU swept the AMCATS in the regular season, notching a 72-63 win on February 1 on their home court and posted an 84-53 victory just ten days later at the AMCATS' Fuller Center.

Senior Joseph Barillo averaged 13 points the AMCATS, while Hugh Daye added 20 points over the two-game span. Johnson & Wales was let by Robert Lewis' 22 points per game.

Defending champion Albertus Magnus College received the number one selection.
