Men's Lacrosse: AMCATS Fall on Road at Becker College

LEICESTER, Mass.- Leicester, Mass.- Becker College defeated Anna Maria College 16-4 in Great Northeast Athletic Conference men's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon at Alumni field . The win lifts the Hawks to 9-2 (5-1 GNAC), while the AMCATS sink to 1-10 (1-5 GNAC).

The Hawks were led by David Deschenes (Gales Ferry, Conn.) who scored a game high seven goals. Freshman standout Dan Johnson (Plymouth, Mass.) finished with a hat trick, while John DeAngelis (Swampscott, Mass.) and Myles White (Norwalk, Conn.) chipped in with two goals each.

Anna Maria received goals from Rex Wall (Osterville, Mass.), Lucas Stralka (E. Greenwich, R.I.), Rodrigo Henriques (Saugus, Mass.), and Jamison Crowley (Southington, Conn.).

Anna Maria freshman goalkeeper Franco Francioso (Walpole, Mass.) made 20 saves, while Hawks freshman Jeffrey Candee (Madison, Conn.) had seven stops.

Both teams return to action on Monday, April 7 when Becker hosts Albertus Magnus College at 4:00 p.m., while Anna Maria travels down the road to Clark University for a 7:00 p.m. start.
