Adam Williamson is in his third season as the Women’s Head Tennis Coach at Anna Maria College. 

A two-time GNAC Coach of the Year selection, the AMCATS have reached post-season play in all three seasons under Williamson's tutelage. In 2014, the AMCATS advanced to the semifinals following a nail-biting 5-4 win against St. Joseph in the quarterfinals. 

In addition to Williamson's 2014 Coach of the Year honors, senior Nicole Goudreau and and freshman Nicola Zamira earned post-season recognition; Goudreau was named to the GNAC All-Conference Singles Second Team while Zamira was placed on the GNAC All-Tournament team. 

In 2013, Anna Maria was the #4 seed and hosted a GNAC Tournament match for the first time in program history. After posting a quarter –final round victory, Anna Maria would fall in the semi-finals to eventual champion Simmons College. A trio of AMCATS earned post-season honors, including All-Conference Second Team and a Sportsmanship Team selection.

In his first season on the sidelines for the men’s team, Williamson put the squad in a position for a post-season bid late into the season. The AMCATS posted one conference victory. For his hard-work and dedication Williamson was selected GNAC Coach of the Year as voted on by his coaching peers in 2013. His team also produced the 2013 GNAC Rookie of the Year.

Coach Williamson is an alumnus of Anna Maria College as a 2012 graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a 2013 graduate with a Masters in Criminal Justice. He played four years on the Anna Maria men's tennis team and was captain the last three years.

Coach Williamson started playing tennis at an early age at Worcester Tennis Club and Paxton Sports Center. He was Captain of his high school team for the four years he played.  He continues to play on USTA leagues across Massachusetts.

He is an assistant tennis pro at Paxton Sports Center, as well as tournament director and new merchandise coordinator.  He also serves the local community as a police officer.
