Mayo Announces Additions to Lacrosse Coaching Staff

PAXTON, Mass.—Anna Maria College men's lacrosse head coach Nate Mayo has announced the completion of his coaching staff, adding Mark Kelley as the team's offensive coordinator and Dan Zenevitch as the defensive coordinator.

A native of Dudley, Mass., Kelley brings over a decade of head coaching experience to the AMCAT program. He currently serves as the head coach of the Shepherd Hill Regional High School boy's lacrosse team, where he has been with the program since its inception in 2009. In just six seasons, Shepherd Hill has evolved from a fledgling program to an annual playoff contender. Kelley was named the Mid-Massachusetts Coach of the Year in 2012.

Prior to entering the high school ranks, Kelley held collegiate head coaching positions at Nichols College (2000-02) and Assumption College (2004-08). Last season, Kelley was on the sidelines at Becker College, serving as the Hawks' offensive coordinator.

"We're very excited to have Coach Kelley join the Anna Maria Lacrosse family. His background, coupled with his passion for the game of lacrosse, makes him a valuable asset to the coaching staff," said Mayo, who added, "I've coached against Coach Kelley in the past, and I'm excited to be on the same sideline with him now."

Zenevitch is a 2014 graduate of the University of Hartford and 2010 graduate of St. Peter Marian High School in Worcester. He was a four-year member of Hartford's goaltender staff, seeing action in 10 games at the Division I level. He faced a career-high 22 shots and totaled six saves in a win against Sienna as a junior.

At St. Peter Marian, Zenevitch was a two-time captain and was named an All-American as a senior, while also earning back-to-back Worcester Telegram and Gazette Super Team honors.

Said Mayo, "I'm happy to welcome Coach Zenevitch to the Anna Maria Lacrosse family. His background as a Division I goaltender at the University of Hartford, along with his time coaching in the Rising Stars Lacrosse program, make him an excellent addition to our staff. I'm looking forward to working with Coach Zenevitch as we look to bring Anna Maria to a championship level."

Kelley and Zenevitch will be on the sidelines with the AMCATS when the team hits the field for their first game on Feb. 25th at UMass Boston.
