Nate Mayo Named Head Men's Lacrosse Coach

PAXTON, Mass.—Anna Maria College Director of Athletics Laura Habacker has announced the hiring of Nate Mayo as the College's men's lacrosse coach, effective immediately.

"I am very excited for Nate to lead our men's lacrosse team," said Habacker. "He brings all the tools necessary to better prepare the AMCATS for competition. Nate's experience at other Division III schools is a huge advantage."

Mayo comes to Anna Maria from Belchertown High School, where he served as head coach last spring and led the team to a program-best in wins.

Collegiately, Mayo has had head coaching positions at Wheelock College, Emerson College, and Nichols College. At Wheelock, he oversaw the addition of the school's first-ever men's lacrosse program. While at Emerson, he recruited student-athletes from the Northeast, California, Colorado, Florida, and Maryland and doubled his team's roster size.

Mayo has also held assistant coach positions at the Division I and II levels at the University of Hartford and American International College.

A 2000 graduate of Worcester State College, Mayo completed his Bachelor's Degree in communications. He obtained a Master of Education degree from Endicott College in 2006 and has been a high school teacher for 14 years.
