Bluejays Soar Past Men’s Lacrosse 18-4

WEST HARTFORD, CT. – The Anna Maria Men's lacrosse team (1-7; 0-2) traveled to West Hartford to take on the University of St. Joseph Bluejays (4-3; 1-1). The AMCATS lost the game 18-4.

After being held scoreless for the first half of the game, Mason Eichmann tucked away the AMCATS first goal of the day off an assist from Ethan Quinn, just over 45 seconds into the third quarter. The AMCATS couldn't find the back of the net again until late in the quarter when Quinn set up Aiden Foster for his second assist of the day. The AMCATS closed out the third quarter trailing behind the Bluejays 15-2.

Two early goals in the fourth quarter from Liam Bedenkop and Quinn set the tone for the AMCATS. Unfortunately the Bluejays held the AMCATS scoreless for the remainder of the game, closing things out at 18-4.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • The AMCATS are 1-2 against the Bluejays in their last three meetings.
  • Mason Eichmann collected his first NCAA goal.

Anna Maria men's lacrosse is back in action on Saturday, March 25th where they will travel to Newton, MA to face off against the Lasers of Lasell University. Opening face-off is at 12:00PM.
