Men's Lacrosse Announces 2017 Schedule

PAXTON, Mass. – Anna Maria men's lacrosse head coach Nate Mayo is pleased to release the program's 2017 schedule, as well as announce the program's captains for the upcoming season: Daniel Rinkus (Harwinton, Conn.), Malik Griffith (Brooklyn, N.Y.), Andrew Marcotte (Plainville, Mass.) and Paul Mills (Auburn, Mass.).

"We are very excited for Dan, Malik, Andrew and Paul to lead this team as captains for the upcoming season," said Mayo. "Each student-athlete brings a multitude of leadership qualities to the program. We value their commitment to this team and together they will positively impact the outcome of this season."

Mayo is confident in the level of play he has seen during this preseason. "Our guys continue to commit themselves to working hard day in and day out," he said. "We look forward to compete against some great lacrosse teams over this season. Our roster has grown immensely and we look forward to taking another step towards achievement in 2017."  

This year the AMCATS will open their season with a home game against Green Mountain college (2/22) followed by an away game at Bard College (2/25). The AMCATS return home on March 1st for a contest with Wheelock College.

Anna Maria begins conference play in April with an away game at Johnson & Wales University (4/4) and finish out the season with the remaining seven games in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action.
