PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Men's Hockey team defeated Kings Pa. in non-conference action the afternoon 3-2 in Rutland Vermont.
The AMCATS (2-4-2) struck first 1 minute into the first period from Aleksander Makarov (Indian Trail, NC) was able to beat the tender, with some help from Sam Cyr-Ledoux (Montreal, QC) and Peter Dziegas (Fayetteville, NY).
Kings was able to tie the score in the second period on a shorthanded goal by Luciano Bucci from Cameron Anklewich and Tyler Wilding.
Anna Maria went back on top in the third when they scored a pair of goals just over one minute apart. The first came from Alex Friend (Raleigh, NC) form Quinn Tucker (Hancock, NH) and Jackson Dobek (Natick, Mass.). With the second coming off the stick of Jack Sitzman (Redondo Beach, CA) with some help by Cyr-Ledoux and Donnie Shaw (Peabody, Mass.).
The Lions were able to put one more in the net, 10 minutes into the period on a power play from Jamie Lukas off of a pass from Nicholas Palumbo. With that goal Kings fell short of the AMCATS 3-2.
