Men's Hockey Draws With Raiders To Close Out The Season

NASHUA, NH. – On Saturday, February 10th the Anna Maria College men's ice hockey team traveled to Nashua, NH to take on the Rivier University Raiders for their last game of the 2023-24 season. The AMCATS tied the Raiders 2-2.

The Raiders were the first to strike as Liam Hennessy buried a goal with less than four minutes to go in the first period. Trailing by one, the AMCATS quickly responded with a goal from Guillaume Coulombe to tie things up with thirty seconds left on the clock.

Tied up at one goal a piece the Raiders took the lead early in the second period after Jon Tavella scored on the power play. It wouldn't be until late in the second period that the AMCATS managed to tie the game back up with a goal from Derek Raposo off a pass from Coulombe. The goal from Raposo would be the last goal scored in the game as both teams battled back and forth to no avail.

The AMCATS would close out their 2023-24 season with a 2-2 tie to the Raiders. The AMCATS finished the season with the most wins in a single season, holding a record of 15-9-1.
