Small ECAC Offensive Player of the Week

Centerville, Mass. – Senior running back Robert Small (Sleepy Hollow, NY) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III North East Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday evening for his performance in last Saturday's stunning 55-49 non-conference victory over Maine Maritime Academy.

Small amassed 255 all-purpose yards and 5 touchdowns on the historic afternoon. He rushed for 240 yards on 23 carries and four TD's, and caught one TD pass of 15 yards. His first TD run covered 80 yards from scrimmage to cut the deficit to 42-26 just before halftime.

Small scored in the third quarter on a run of 32-yards and had a pair of 3-yard scoring plunges in the fourth stanza to set up the AMCATS final score.

Small set three school records on this historic afternoon. His 30 points on the day crushed the previous record of 18 while his four rushing TD's and five TD's scores were also new markers for Anna Maria.

Small was named ECFC Offensive Player of the Week and earned the 2013 Gridiron Club of Greater Boston Gold Helmet selection. Small will travel to Boston on Wednesday afternoon to receive his award.
