Mitchell Earns ECFC Accolades

Paxton, Mass. – Senior Jamal Mitchell (Shelton, Conn.) has been named the ECFC Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Jamal Mitchell set a school record for the longest field goal made, when he connected on a 48-yard attempt in the 4th quarter of Anna Maria's 34-14 win over visiting Maine Maritime Academy. Mitchell, whose first FG of the game, a 28-yarder, broke a 7-7 tie was also perfect on extra points, going 4-for-4 in the contest.

The AMCATS returned to action on Saturday afternoon when they travel to Bangor, Maine to face the Husson Eagles in non-conference action.
