Crosstown rival Cougars blank AMCATS

Worcester, Mass. – Host Clark snapped its four match losing streak with a convincing 9-0 win over visiting Anna Maria on Friday afternoon at Corash Tennis Courts.

The Cougars improve to 2-8 overall, while the AMCATS dip to 2-10.

In doubles action, Diego Angel and Dan Paradee teamed up at No. 1 for the first time to defeat Adam Williamson/Mike Dandurand, 8-4.

At No. 2 Bram Smith and Spencer Brightman knocked off Jesus Torres and Haakim Ferguson, 8-1, while Jai Sung Lee and Shawn Perry won over John Brierley and Jack Donaldson, 8-4 to complete the doubles sweep.

On the singles side, all of the Cougars' victories came in straight sets including Paradee over Williamson 7-5, 10-4 at No. 2 and Nathan Maltais over Dandurand 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3.

Brightman had little trouble with Ferguson at No. 4, collecting a 6-1, 6-0 and it was pretty much the same at No. 5 and No. 6. George Arno posted a straight set victory over Jack Donaldson at No. 5, 6-3, 6-0 and

Dana Ferranti notched a 6-0, 6-4 win over Brierley at No.6.
