Nashua, N.H.-- The Anna Maria College Men's Basketball team downed Rivier University on the road this afternoon, 70-63, in Great Northeast Athletic Conference action. The Raiders slip to 1-6 overall on the season and 0-3 in conference play while the AMCATS improve to 2-6, 2-1 GNAC.
GAME LEADERS
The AMCATS saw both senior David Jean-Louis (Miramar, Fla.) and freshman Mike Rapoza (Charlton, Mass.) each register 19 points with Rapoza pulling down a team high 10 rebounds for a double-double of his own. Junior Kenneth Graham (West Haven, Conn.) had a solid night as he contributed 12 points and seven rebounds and junior Tanner Jakola (Leomister, Mass.) provided additional support with 10 points in a reserve effort.
Senior Kevin Francis (Cromwell, Conn.) recorded another double-double as he led the Raiders with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Tristian Givens (Windsor, Conn.) added 16 points and senior David Lorden (Pepperell, Mass.) chipped in with eight points off the bench.
WHAT'S NEXT?
Rivier will return to the court on Monday night as they host Pine Manor College in a non-conferece tilt. Game time is set for 7pm. Anna Maria, meanwhile, will have a long layoff before returning to action as their next game is set for December 28th at Bowdoin.
