Moran Named to Worcester Area Softball All-Star Second Team

Worcester, Mass. --- The first annual Worcester Area Softball All-Star team has been announced after a vote by sports information directors representing nine Worcester area colleges and universities. In addition, six major award winners were also named for their respective contributions to the success of their softball programs.

Representing Anna Maria College is senior utility player, Kaitlyn Moran (Leicester, Mass.) who was named to the Worcester Area Softball All-Star second team. This season Moran appeared in 15 games and recorded a .316 batting average. She had 12 hits, five runs, and four RBIs. Moran also made appearances on the mound and at shortstop for the AMCATS. She pitched 33 innings and posted a team-best 4.03 earned run average while notching six strikeouts. Moran earned two of the AMCATS five wins this season on the mound. She posted a 9-0 shutout victory over Simmons and led the AMCATS to an 8-7 victory over Norwich.
