PAXTON, Mass: The Anna Maria Women's Basketball team was downed by Hilbert College this afternoon 69-39 in non-conference action, in Pittsford, New York.
The Hawks (3-2) finished the contest shooting 42.6% from the floor and 40% from behind the arc. They were able to establish control of the boards as they tallied 40 rebounds, compared to the 31 of the AMCATS. Emily Gawlak finished with a game high 20 points for Hilbert, along with 6 steals and 4 assists. Taylor Corts contributed 14 points of her own with 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
Anna Maria (0-5) finished the game with a 32.7% field goal percentage, with an 18.8% 3-point percentage. They totaled 30 turnovers throughout the contest with 31 rebounds. Sierra Johnson (Brockton, Mass.) finished with a team high of 14 points, including 2 steals and 2 rebounds to her stat line. Hailey Moore (Worcester, Mass.) found the most success on the boards for the AMCATS as she was able to pull down 7 rebounds.
