Anna Maria Places Sixteen on ECFC All-Academic Team

PAXTON, Mass.—The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) has announced the 2015-16 All-Academic honorees. This season, 76 players throughout the league qualified for this prestigious honor.

To be honored, a student-athlete must have reached sophomore academic standing, have participated a minimum two years with the team and achieved a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30.

Anna Maria placed sixteen student-athletes to the list, including 10 seniors: Ryan Dirienzo (Granby, Conn.), Kevin Grey (Marlborough, Mass), AJ Huber (Exeter, R.I.), Ronald Kikonyogo (Worcester, Mass.), Micah Madir (St. Petersburg, Fla.), Kolin Matthews (Seymour, Conn.), David Morrow (Staten Island, N.Y.), Juan Palacio (Lowell, Mass.), Victor Sambola (Worcester, Mass.), and Mike Sinto (Long Beach, Fla.).

Juniors Andrew Bailey (Foster, R.I.) and Alex Geiger (East Providence, R.I.) were repeats to the list, while sophomores Camden Brown (Gardner, Mass.), Trevor Brown (Gardner, Mass.), Terrell Campbell (Brooklyn, N.Y.), and Chris Eaton (Troy, N.Y.) were all first-time selections.

Both Anna Maria and Husson University placed 16 student-athletes on the All-Academic list. Norwich topped the list with 19 student-athletes, followed by Castleton (12), Maritime (five), Mount Ida (four) and Becker and Gallaudet with two honorees each.
