Sinto Named ECFC Defensive Player of the Week

Wilmington—The Anna Maria College Football team earns an Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) weekly honor for the first time this season, as junior linebacker Michael Sinto (Long Beach, N.Y.) has been named the Defensive Player of the Week in week ten of the 2015 season.

Sinto recorded a game-high 15 tackles, 4.5 of which were for a loss, in the AMCATS 24-20 conference victory over Gallaudet on Saturday. Sinto recorded two of his tackles on a crucial defensive stand for Anna Maria in which the team forced Gallaudet into a three-and-out on their final drive. Sinto led an AMCAT unit that held the Bison to just 124 yards of total defense.
