Mount Union Too Much For Baseball
Auburndale, FL: The Anna Maria College baseball team fell 13-1 to the University of Mount Union Sunday morning at RussMatt Invitational.

HIGHLIGHTS:
- The AMCATS wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, with one out in the first inning junior leftfielder James Powers (Folsom,CA) singled to the opposite field on a 1-2 pitch that dropped along the leftfield line. Senior shortstop Kostas Drosisdis (Holden, MA) then drove another 1-2 pitch into the left-centerfield gap that bounced off the wall for a stand-up double, driving in Powers from first for the AMCATS loan run of the game.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- Powers was 1-2 with a double and a run scored.
- AMCATS junior reliever Joe Dorman (Sandwich, MA) threw two innings of one-hit ball, striking out five of the nine batters he faced.
- Purple Raiders starting pitcher Thomas Gallant was credited with a complete game win, striking out 11 and only facing two over the minimum.
- Mount Union's Nate Duliba went 3-4 with four runs scored and two runs batted in while Trey Weaver had five RBI's and a run scored.

Anna Maria will continue their Florida trip on Tuesday, March 8th when they will faceoff with the Thomas College Terriers at the Northeast Regional Park at 10am.
