Records: AMCATS of Anna Maria 4-10 (0-2 GNAC) | Pride of Regis College 5-10 (2-0)
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- Game One – Senior right-handed pitcher Sabrina Liston (Rehoboth, MA) limited the Pride to only three runs on six hits while striking out five but was let down by her offense to fall to 2-5 on the season.
- Game Two – The AMCATS nearly mounted a comeback in the second game. Liston reached on an infield single before being lifted for pinch-runner sophomore Samantha Pusateri (Worcester, MA). Pusateri moved to second when sophomore catcher Saylor Costa (E. Providence, RI) reached on an error by the shortstop. After a sacrifice bunt by freshman designated player Raven Carriere (Labroquerie West, MB) moved the runners to second and third, senior outfielder Samantha Dahill (Littleton, MA) brought the Pusateri home with a single to right field. Pride pitcher Kate McGrath (Boston, MA) was able to buckle down and strike out the last AMCAT batter to seal the win.
