Card, Bishop Slated to Participate in Third Annual Dream Bowl

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.—Senior defensive back William Bishop (Uxbridge, Mass.) and senior linebacker Kevin Card (Deer Park, N.Y.) of the Anna Maria College football team have accepted invitations to the third annual Dream Bowl.

The third annual Dream Bowl will be played January 19, 2015 at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va.  The college football all-star game is a showcase of the best NCAA Division III players from across the country.  The game, and the series of events held over Martin Luther King Weekend, is a celebration of the excellence, commitment, and sacrifice made by the players and their families. Scouts from the Oakland Raiders and Houston Texans as well as several CFL scouts will be on hand to watch the best D-III players go through an NFL–style combine and game.

Bishop played in all 10 games as a senior and totaled 32 tackles. He also aided the AMCAT defense with two tackles-for-loss, an interception, and two pass breakups. Card played in nine games this season and totaled 65 tackles, including a team-leading 13 tackles-for-loss, four of which were sacks. Card also recovered two fumbles in 2014.

Bishop and Card join a growing list of AMCAT Dream Bowl attendees. Past participants from Anna Maria include Jamal Mitchell and Jordan Koehler. Koehler, now an assistant coach at Anna Maria, will make the trip to Virginia Beach again this year to work as a defensive assistant coach.
