Patrick McGuane enters his first year as the Director of Strategic Media & Communication after serving as the Sports Information Director from 2022-2025.

On November 14, 2022 following his graduation from Anna Maria College earlier that spring, Patrick McGuane was named the Sports Information Director. Since his arrival on campus, McGuane has taken steps to improve the departments social media presence through consistent branding and more frequent photo and video content. He has also upgraded the colleges video streaming platform which now features multiple camera angles, instant replays and animated overlays. On top of his efforts to improve the departments media presence, McGuane also works closely with the coaches and staff to help create a better overall game day experience for the student-athletes. 

McGuanes focus on the departments marketing and broadcasting has helped the overall exposure of Anna Maria College Athletics over the last three years. His promotion to Director of Strategic Media & Communication on July 1st, 2025 will allow him to utilize his multi-media background to continue to grow the departments branding and outreach as well as working closely with the schools Marketing and Advancement teams in an effort to improve the overall brand of the college.

Graduating from Anna Maria College with a Bachelors in Business Administration and a focus in Video Photographic Arts, McGuane was also a member of the men’s ice hockey team (2018-2021) and men’s lacrosse team (2018-2020). As part of the men’s ice hockey team during their inaugural season in 2018, McGuane tended the net in the teams first program win, beating St. Michaels College 4-1 on November 17th, 2018. 

During his senior year of college, McGuane worked as a freelance videographer where he filmed concerts, corporate events and edited video content for a number of different companies over the course of the year. Notably, McGuane helped produce the live video feed for the “Beach Road Weekend” music festival in Marthas Vineyard in August 2022 and served as a camera operator at Barack Obamas 60th birthday party in August 2021. McGuane also worked as the primary editor for the TEDx Tufts event held in March 2022. During this time he also served as the producer of the Daily Double Show for Barstool Sports from July 2021- September 2022.
