Kevin McCoy NAMED BSN ALL-AMERICAN DIVISION III FINALISTS

Sophomore defensive back Kevin McCoy (Springfield, Mass.) has been selected as Beyond Sports Network (BSN) All-American Finalists for his outstanding 2011 performance on the gridiron. It is the first selection for Anna Maria College at the All-American level.

McCoy, received honorable mention recognition by the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference this season. He finished the season tied for eighth nationally in NCAA Division III for interceptions (5). He recorded 47 total tackles, 35 solo tackles, 12 tackle assists, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery. The second year player also had 5 interceptions with a touchdown and 4 quarterback break-ups.

In week 3 at Castleton State College, McCoy intercepted the CSU quarterback at the AMC 44-yard line and took it back 56 yards for a touchdown. His best game of the season came in a second meeting between the two teams on October 22nd, when he notched 12 total tackles and picked off two Castleton passes.

The 2012 BSN All American Team is made up of the top athletes from the FCS, Division 2, Division 3, and NAIA. This list represents the finalists for the 2012 BSN All American Team. The athletes listed below were chosen based on conference awards, individual stats, team stats, and highlight video. The final selections will be announced on January 5th, 2012.
