Card Named ECFC Rookie of the Week/BSN Defensive Player of the Week
Paxton, Mass - Freshman Kevin Card (Deer Park, NY) picked up two acolades this week for his performance at Maritime College. First he was named as the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference Rookie of the Week and then he was selected to the Beyond Sports Network Division III Athletes of the Week as one of six Defensive Players of the Week.
Card had a career high day on defense on Saturday afternoon in a 34-13 ECFC loss to Maritime College. Card had 17 of the teams 55 unassisted tackles. Card finished the day with 18 total tackles, 2 tackles for a loss (18.0 yards) and a sack.
