Sabrina was a four year varsity starter at Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, CT, where she helped her team qualify for states all four years. In recognition, she was named to the All-Conference team her senior year and was also named team MVP. Sabrina was named to the All-Academic Team in her junior and senior years.

 

After graduating high school Sabrina attended Anna Maria where she played on the softball team all four years. She was also named to the GNAC All-Academic team each of those years. In her senior year Sabrina led the GNAC in hitting with a .479 batting average, she was also named the team MVP. Carriera has been umpiring in the West Hartford Girls Softball League in CT for the last four years. She has also been coaching a local high school travel team in CT for the last three summers. When Sabrina is not coaching, she also gives private hitting and fielding lessons.
