AMCAT Golf Finishes in Seventh at JWU Fall Invitational

Cranston, R.I. – The Anna Maria College golf team notched a seventh place at JWU Fall Invitational held at the Cranston Country Club this weekend.  The Wildcats tallied a two-round total of 677 ( 349, 328) over the par-71 course measures 6,493 yards while Rhode Island College took home the team championship with a 621 (312-309).  Sophomore Ryan Butler (Windham, N.H.) took home medalist honors with a 155 (76-79).

Senior Nate McNamara was the top finisher for Anna Maria, finishing tied for  fifteenth with a 167 (82-80) while Jesse Simonson finished tied for 24th with a 169 (87-82).  Brian Conrad carded a 170 (88-82) on the day, teammate Chris Gosselin fired a 176 (92-89) and Matt Koslowski rounded out the five with a 194 (99-95).
The AMCATS will return to action on Saturday-Sunday October 20th-21st when they host the 2012 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship.
