GNAC Golf Championship Results

Cranston, R.I. – Rhode Island College captured the 2013 Great Northeast Athletic Conference Championship, hosted by Johnson & Wales at the Cranston Country Club over the weekend.  It marks the third straight conference championship for the Anchormen.  RIC senior Tim Leigh (Somerset, Mass.) took home the individual medalists honors and was named the GNAC Player of the Year.

 

Leigh finished the par 71 course that measures 6,493 yards with a two round total of 147 (71-76).  Joining Leigh on the All-Great Northeast Athletic conference team were Southern Maine's Aidan Boyce, Johnson & Wales junior Juan Fernandez (Panama City, Panama), RIC's Jonathan Cooper and UMass Dartmouth's Brendan Kelleher.

 

The teams will return to action on Sunday, October 27th when they travel to the Captain's Course in Brewster, Mass., for the New England Intercollegiate  Golf Association Championship.
