Cross Country Runs at GNAC Invitational

STANDISH, Maine--The Anna Maria College cross country teams competed at the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Invitational on Saturday October, 31. The women's team placed 9th out of 10 teams, while the men's team did not record a team score.

 

WOMEN'S RACE

Junior Maureen Moore (Newbury, Mass.) led the AMCAT women with a time of 22:41. She was followed Shannon Latour (Millbury, Mass.) at 27:12 and Victoria Fabiano (Billerica, Mass.) with a time of 27:46. Hannah Pritchett (Methuen Mass.) finished in a time of 27:56 for the AMCATS while Mary Tadse came in at 32:07.

Emmanuel claimed the women's victory with 49 points. Simmons took second place, while Johnson & Wales (RI) finished in third.

 
 

MEN'S RACE

Casey Quirk, Daniel Jodrey (Paxton, Mass.), and Teddy Duchensne (West Barnstable, Mass.) finished in 56th, 57th, and 58th. Quirk took Anna Maria's top spot with a time of 35:48, while Jodrey finished in 36:15 and Duchesne finished 13 seconds later at 36:28.

 

Also finishing for the AMCAT men was Jon Cooper in a time of 46:57.

 

Norwich took the men's team award with 24 points. Johnson & Wales (RI) finished in second, followed by Lasell in third.

Both teams travel to ECAC Invitational on Saturday, November 7th.
