Bio

Coach Lyman enters her third season at the helm of the AMCAT softball team.

Coach Lyman was able to improve the team’s record in her second year on the sideline. Anna Maria finished the 2013 season with a record of 5-32 (2-22 GNAC) earning the AMCATS their first conference win since joining the GNAC in 2011. One AMC player finished the season in the top 20 in batting average in the conference and one player was named to the GNAC Sportsmanship team.

Coach Lyman came to the program in 2011 from Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, Mass., where she served as the programs softball coach and SWA from 2009-2011. 

Lyman took her first year inexperienced 6-25 Gator squad, turned them around and landed a spot in the GNAC conference tournament just one year later.  She has coached one GNAC Conference Player of the Year, one 1st Team All–Conference and two 3rd Team All-Conference Players during her time at PMC.

Her softball experiences include serving as the head coach at Austin Preparatory High School in Reading, Mass. from 2007-2009 and North Andover High School in 2005. Lyman has coached multiple Massachusetts U18 & U16 Travel Ball Teams and also works at a number of camps and clinics throughout New England including Top Guns Softball Camp, Extra Innings, Nike Elite Field Hockey Camp and Salem Parks & Recreation Sports Camp.

Lyman also served as the assistant field hockey coach at Salem State College from 2007-2009 and at Endicott College from 2005-2007 where her primary responsibilities were recruiting and working with the defensive players and corner units.

Lyman is a 2001 graduate of Providence College, graduating with a degree in Business Administration. She was a member of the Providence College Division I softball team from 1996-1999 and the Field Hockey program from 1995-1998. Lyman played every game of her softball career at PC and assisted her team to a spot in the Big East Conference Tournament Finals in 1996. 

In 2008, Lyman was inducted into the Bishop Fenwick High School Hall of Fame.

Coach Lyman currently resides in Tewksbury, Mass.
