Paxton, MA— Anna Maria College has hired Laura Habacker, head coach of women’s basketball and assistant athletics director at Elms College, as its next athletic director. Beginning on July 1, she will be the fifth administrator to serve in this position since the college’s athletic programs began in 1977.

Boston, Mass. – The Wentworth Institute of Technology men’s volleyball team swept a Great Northeast Athletic Conference tri-match as the Leopards defeated fifth-ranked Rivier (3-1) and Anna Maria (3-0). Rivier beat Anna Maria 3-0 in the middle match of the day.

Paxton, Mass. – The Anna Maria College men's volleyball team lost their final home contest of the 2014 season as they dropped three straight sets to visiting Albertus Magnus College, (25-14, 25-22, 25-19), in a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup on Thursday evening at Fuller Activities Center. The AMCATS slide to 1-18 (0-14 GNAC) on the season, while the Falcons improve to 11-10 (5-9 GNAC).

The pair of losses, Anna Maria fell to 1-15 on the season and 0-11 in GNAC action.

The AMCATS fell to Lasell College in straight sets in the opening match of the day followed by a 3-1 defeat to Mount Ida in the last contest of the day. Anna Maria dips to 1-11 overall and 0-7 in conference play.
