Biscardi tabbed TCCC Rookie of the Week

PAXTON, Mass. (03.28.11) – Anna Maria College freshman Andrew Biscardi (Wantagh, N.Y.) was selected as The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced by Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Monday afternoon.

Biscardi helped the AMCATS to a 2-1 record last week, including the program's first ever conference victory. "Biscuit" compiled eight points on four goals and four assists during the three-game stretch. He began the week by compiling five points in a win over Wheelock, tying for the team-high in goals with four tallies on the day. The freshman was also a key factor in the AMCATS historic 9-7 victory over Nichols, as he set up the game-winning goal with a beautiful feed to Mike Saulnier in the fourth quarter.

Andrew has had a terrific start to his freshman campaign, and currently ranks second on the team in points (20), assists (10), and caused turnovers (12), while also placing third on the team in goals (10).

Biscardi and the AMCATS will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Bristol, R.I. to battle TCCC-foe Roger Williams University at 4:00 pm.
