Koehler Named ECFC Defensive Player of the Week
Paxton, Mass. – Senior linebacker Jordan Koehler (West Warwick, R.I.) of the Anna Maria College football team has been named the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league's office on Monday morning. Koehler is the second member of the AMCAT program to earn a weekly award this season.
Kohler was a linchpin on the AMCATS defense on Saturday afternoon at Catholic University. The senior posted 10 solo tackles with 8 assisted for 18 total tackles in the loss. Two of Kohler's tackles were for a loss and he also had a fumble recovery.
Anna Maria returns to action on Saturday when they start GNAC conference play at Maritime (N.Y.). Kick-off is slated for 2:00pm.
