Raiders Too Much For Women's Lacrosse

PAXTON, MA - On Saturday, April 13th the Anna Maria College women's lacrosse team traveled to Nashua, NH to face off against the Raiders of Rivier, for a Great Northeast Athletic Conference matchup. The AMCATS lost the game 15 to 4.

The Raiders would start the game off with seven unanswered goals. It wouldn't be until late in the second quarter that Raegan Hachey would get the AMCATS on the board making it a 7 to 1 game in favor of the Raiders. The Raiders would strike back two more times to make it a 9 to 1 game, before the AMCATS offense would score their second goal of the game coming off a pass from Riley Michaund to Christine Ijawet to score for the AMCATS. That would make the score 9 to 2.  The Raiders offense would be to much for the AMCATS as they would go on to score two more goals to close out the first half making it 11 to 2.

It would then be the AMCATS offense to strike first in the second half getting a goal from Riley Michaund to cut the Raiders lead to 11 to 3. It would then be all Raiders the rest of the third quarter with three more unanswered goals making it a 14 to 3 game heading into the fourth quarter. The fourth quarter would be slim for scoring as each team would only get one goal each. That would end the game with the Raiders winning 15 to 4.
