Men's Cross Country Runs at CCSU Mini Meet

NEW BRITAIN, Conn.—The men's cross country team competed at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet on Saturday morning at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. Junior Casey Quirk led the men with a time of 21:08.4 in the five kilometer race.

Following Quirk was freshman Teddy Duchesne (West Barnstable, Mass.) who recorded a time of 21:10.7. Brandon Andexler (Enfield, Conn.) was the third Anna Maria runner to cross the finish line, with a time of 21:30.7.

Andexler was followed by Matt Elliot who finished 71st for the AMCATS with a time of 22:46.5 and Callan Finnmcmiahan crossed in a time of 25:51.1 to finish the meet for Anna Maria.

Central Connecticut State took the first-place team victory with 52 points, followed by Providence (17), Monmouth (78), Boston University (94) and then Yale (120).

WHAT'S NEXT?

On October 31st the AMCATS travel to the Great Northeast Athletic Conference Invitational at St. Joseph's (ME) for a 2:00 p.m. race. They wrap up the season at ECAC Invitational at Westfield State on Saturday, November 7.
