Moore Paces Women's Cross Country at Smith College Co-Ed Invitational

NORTHAMPTON, Mass.—The Anna Maria College women's cross country team recorded a 13th place finish at the Smith College Co-Ed Invitational on Saturday morning.

Sixteen teams competed at the meet, which was won by Amherst College, who had all seven runners finish in the top-25.

The AMCATS were led by sophomore Maureen Moore (Newbury, Mass.), who ran the 5k event in 22:55.9 and was the 75th runner to cross the finish line. Classmate Ashley Eccleston (Plymouth, Mass.) was just a few seconds behind, as she recorded a time of 23:02.5.

Freshman Ashley Bricault (Cumberland, R.I.) crossed the line 123rd with a time of 24:47.9, while senior Kelsey Donnelly (Lakeville, Mass.) was 142nd with 25:46.7 and freshman Kayla Odegaard (Milton, Mass.) rounded out the AMCATS' top five with a time of 26:35.8.

The AMCATS return to action on Saturday, September 20 when they travel to Dartmouth, Mass. to compete in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational.
