Men's Cross Country Competes at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, Mass.—The Anna Maria College men's cross country team competed at the UMass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday morning.

Freshman Patrick Clarke (Pomfret, Conn.) recorded a team-best finish in the eight kilometer race, coming in at 163rd with a time of 28:43.7. Freshman Daniel Jodrey (Paxton, Mass.)  finished second for the AMCATS with a time of 31:22.5. Ryan Bredenfoerder (Tolland, Mass.) rounded out the top-three for Anna Maria, crossing the finish line with a time of 35:18.19.

The AMCATS two final finishers, freshmen Brandon Andexler (Enfield, Conn.) and Joseph Bialecki (Middleton, Mass.) finished with times of 37:06.9 and 42:21.6, respectively.

The meet featured 34 teams and was won by Division II Franklin Pierce University, who had three finishers in the top-10. WPI finished in second, while Brandeis, New Paltz St., and Bentley rounded out the top-five.

As a team, the AMCATS finished above Eastern Nazarene and Mount Ida College. Anna Maria will be back in action next weekend as they travel to the Worcester City Invitational. The men's race will start at 10:45 a.m.
