Anna Maria Places Eight on ECFC All-Academic Team

PAXTON, Mass.— The Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) announced its All-Academic team for the 2016 season this afternoon. 69 student-athletes were recognized with representatives from all eight ECFC institutions. Norwich University led the way with19 honorees.
Dan Mulrooney Named Anna Maria Head Football Coach

PAXTON, Mass.—The Anna Maria College Athletic Department has named Dan Mulrooney the Head Football Coach as announced by Athletic Director, Serge DeBari on Wednesday morning. Mulrooney joins the Anna Maria community following three years serving as the Defensive Coordinator at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI).
Francis Cole Named to Division III All-America Second Team

WACO, TEX. —Anna Maria College sophomore, Francis Cole (Maspeth, N.Y.) was named to the Division III Coaches' All-America Second Team as announced by the American Football Coaches Association this morning. This is the first time in Anna Maria College Football program history that a student-athlete has been recognized as an All-American.

WORCESTER, Mass.—Three members of the Anna Maria College football team were named to the 26th Annual Steve "Merc" Morris All-Star Team, awarded by the Worcester Area Football Association. Members of the all-star team are voted on by the Sports Information Directors of the eight member football colleges in Worcester County.

DANBURY, Conn. – The Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) has announced its 2016 Division III North Football All-Star teams and award recipients. Anna Maria College sophomore Francis Cole (Maspeth, N.Y.) was named to the ECAC All-Star First Team as part of the Special Teams category.
Football Places Six on ECFC All-Conference Teams

PAXTON, Mass.—Six members of the Anna Maria College football team earned Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC) All-Conference recognition, as announced by the league office on Thursday afternoon. The ECFC announced its 2016 all-conference teams following a vote of the conference coaches. A total of 83 student-athletes received recognition after the completion of the regular season.

LEICESTER, Mass. --- The Anna Maria College football team closed out their 2016 season with a 31-7 loss to visiting cross-town rival Becker College on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Field in Leicester. The Hawks of Becker conclude their 2016 year with a 3-7 record while the AMCATS of Anna Maria conclude their season at 1-9.
