Women’s Volleyball Hosts Elms On Senior Night

PAXTON, MA : The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team lost in straight sets to visiting Elms College on Tuesday evening in Paxton.

THE BASICS:

SENIOR NIGHT:

• Prior to the game, the AMCATS recognized their graduating senior class as part of senior night. Senior libero Tabitha Franceschet (Westfield, MA), senior outside hitter Jenna Grande (Whitman, MA) and senior outside hitter Julia Rutkowski (Coventry, CT) have each made outstanding contributions to not only the Anna Maria women's volleyball program but to the entire campus community as a whole. Although their time on the playing field may be coming to an end, they will forever be a part of the AMCAT family.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Anna Maria junior middle blocker Ryann Hassett (North Oxford, MA) led the AMCATS with five kills and a block assist.
• Anna Maria junior outside hitter Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) added three kills and two aces.
• Elms senior opposite Alanys Cruz Diaz (Humacao, PR) led the Blazers with ten kills, nine digs and four block assists.
• Elms senior libero Kianna Lozada (Bayamon, PR) led the defense with 17 digs.

UP NEXT:

The AMCATS will conclude their season on Wednesday evening at Fitchburg State in a 6:00 p.m. match.
