Women’s Volleyball Swats Hornets

PAXTON, MA : The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team prevailed in three sets over visiting Northern Vermont University Lyndon on Monday evening in Paxton, with set scores of 25-13, 25-18, 25-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Anna Maria sophomore setter Julia Tarantino (Pembroke, MA) filled the stat line for the AMCATS, with 16 set assists, six kills, six digs and three service aces.
• Anna Maria junior middle blocker Ashley Sheehan (Medford, MA) posted four kills and four service aces with one block assist.
• Anna Maria junior outside hitter Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) led the defensive effort with 12 digs while dominating with her serve to the tune of five service aces.
• Anna Maria sophomore outside hitter Sarah Burt (Plymouth, MA) added five kills and 11 digs.
• Lyndon freshman setter Charlotte Morris (Middletown, DE) led the Hornets with 12 set assists and 12 digs.

Anna Maria will be back on the court on Saturday when they travel to Johnson & Wales University for a tri-match.
