Women’s Volleyball Drops Two At WPI

- WORCESTER, MA : The Anna Maria College women's volleyball team lost two matches at Saturday's Tri-Match at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, falling to Wentworth and the host Engineers in three sets apiece. The AMCATS are now 1-5 to start their season.

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Anna Maria senior outside hitter Julia Rutkowski (Coventry, CT) posted eight kills with eight digs against the Leopards, hitting .318 in the match. She later delivered eight digs against WPI as well.
  • Anna Maria junior outside hitter Bella Kozciak (Westfield, MA) chipped in seven kills, 13 digs and two service aces.
  • Anna Maria junior libero Serena Dennis (Holyoke, MA) led the defense with 18 digs over six sets.

 

UP NEXT:

- Anna Maria will be back on the court on Tuesday when they host Curry College in a 6:00 p.m. match.
